So, this is what it’s like to blog… huh. Let’s hope I keep up with this, shall we?
One reason why I thought making this page would be cool is to share some stuff I find interesting, neat, compelling, or just really enjoyable.
Here’s a poem by my latest literary obsession, Jim Carroll. It’s from the book he published at age 16 during the beginning of what would be a long struggle with hard drugs . He’s a mighty interesting man, though. I recently ordered and received his two diaries, and another poetry book of his later work. I encourage you to read them as well!
Anyway, onto the poem. It is an excerpt of a longer poem called “11 Trains.”

9th TRAIN (for B.G. & J.H.)
( if I really wanted youto feel that wayI would tell only about the vains of silverhidden in these mountainsand the Iroquoiswho hunted therethat was all historyperhaps white waterscascading unto rocks below itbecause water fallsit does not riseit can not riseit is so simpleit is a processyes, I would tell youabout these things. )~~~~~~~~Until next time - peace.

( if I really wanted you
to feel that way
I would tell only about the vains of silver
hidden in these mountains
and the Iroquois
who hunted there
that was all history
perhaps white waters
cascading unto rocks below it
because water falls
it does not rise
it can not rise
it is so simple
it is a process
yes, I would tell you
about these things. )

Until next time - peace.
